Participation is open to all SETAC Members, Non-Members and Students. Please proceed by pressing the Online registration button below.
Please note that all persons intending to attend the Congress must register, including invited Speakers and Chairpersons. Please read through the following information carefully before you complete your form.

*Members: a reduced rate has been secured for members of either one of the Host Societies: SETAC, Royal Australian Chemical Institute and
Australasian Society for Ecotoxicology. If you are not a member of any of these societies please register at the non member rate. If registering at the membership rates you will be asked to indicate which society you are a member of and include your membership number.
**A student is defined as a holder of a student identification card from a recognized tertiary or secondary educational institution or international student card. Students must be studying full time to qualify for the discounted rate. A copy of your student identification card is required when you submit your registration form. Without this copy, the full registration fee will be charged.

Please note that all persons planning to attend the Congress must register. Each person must complete a separate online registration form. On completion of your online registration you will receive an Acknowledgement of Registration by email (and tax invoice). Your registration will not be processed or confirmed if payment is not received.
Registrations can also be sent to us by fax or post. Should you choose to send your registration form with payment by post/fax please be aware that a confirmation will be sent to you approximately 5-7 days from the date your form is received. You will not receive any further publications before the Congress.
Payment of Fees
Registrations will not be processed or confirmed until payment in full is received. Please note all transactions by credit card will appear on your statement as payment to "Conference by THPL". Cheques must be received by the 4 July 2008 and should be made payable to the SETAC 2008.
Within Australia
Payment may be made by personal cheque or credit card. MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Diners cards are accepted.
International
Payments from overseas must be made by credit card or bank cheque in Australian Dollars only, drawn on an Australian Bank. Your name and full address should be typed or printed clearly on the back of the cheque. MasterCard, Visa, Diners Card, and Amex are the only cards accepted at the conference. We do not accept payment by Direct Transfer.
Acknowledgements
Your registration and payment will be acknowledged via email or post with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form. Your registration will not be processed or confirmed if payment does not accompany your form. You will not receive any further publications before the Congress. Your letter of acknowledgement will include any further advice necessary prior to your arrival at the Congress. At the Congress you will receive the final program, a copy of the abstracts and a list of delegates.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Congress Managers.
Registration Fees:
- Before 1 May 2008 will incur an A$100.00 cancellation fee
- Before 12 June 2008 will receive 50% refund of fees paid
- After 12 June 2008 there will be no refund
Accommodation:
- Deposit must be paid at the time of booking to guarantee reservation
- Deposit is non-refundable at 30 June 2008
Social:
- Payments are non-refundable at 18 July 2008
Tours:
- Payments are non-refundable at 28 June 2008.
Entrance to Congress
Each member of the Congress will receive a name badge on registration. The badge will be your official pass and must be clearly visible at all times to obtain entry to all sessions and to social functions. Please note that there will be strict security onsite at the Congress to monitor entry to all areas of the Congress. The Congress Managers expect appropriate behaviour from attendees and reserve the right to revoke the badge and privileges of anyone behaving in an inappropriate manner.

The Registration Desk will be open the following hours:
Sunday 3 August 2008: 1400 - 1800
Monday 4 August 2008: 0730- 1800
Tuesday 5 August 2008: 0730 - 1800
Wednesday 6 August 2008: 0730 - 1800
Thursday 7 August 2008: 0730 - 1800
The Congress Managers will be on-site for enquiries at other times.
Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that at the time you register for the Congress and book your travel you take out an insurance policy of your choice. The policy should include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the Congress, or through cancellation of the Congress, loss of international/domestic air fares through cancellation for any reason, loss of tour monies through cancellation for any reason including airline or related services, strikes within Australia, failure to utilise tours or pre booked arrangements due to airline delay, Force Majeure or any other reason, medical expenses (including sickness and accident cover), loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. The Congress Managers cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. This insurance is to be purchased in your country of origin.
